PENANG: This new play by James L. Larocca is about a young naval officer who slashes his wrists just before he is about to return home from a tour of duty in Vietnam. Gripping, honest, and compassionate drama. PICK OF THE WEEK!

CYRANO DE BERGERAC: Richard Mazda's production of the famous romantic play, at a new theatre in Long Island City, emphasizes the show's poetic language.

HOLY DAYS: A fine rendition of Sally Nemeth's play about two families in Kansas during the Great Depression.

LOVE CHILD: In this very funny show, Daniel Jenkins and Robert Stanton play all of the people in a theatre--on stage and off--during a disastrous performance of an obscure Greek tragedy.

OUR TOWN: A revival of Thornton Wilder's classic play that reveals all of its wisdom and potency. Directed by David Cromer, who also plays the Stage Manager.

OVER THE LINE: A new play by P. Seth Bauer about a group of kids heading towards their high school graduation.

RED SEA FISH: This new play by Matt Wilkinson is about a retired thief and his son and what happens when a young woman comes to stay with them. It's the opener of this year's Brits Off Broadway festival.

THE HYPOCHONDRIAC: A very funny and very up-to-date new American version of Moliere's famous play. Chris Harcum is a hoot in the title role; and supporting player Kyle Haggerty is hilarious.

THE LILY'S REVENGE: Taylor Mac's nearly-five-hour epic is the most engaging immersive theatre experience in New York right now. It's great fun and very resonant, too.

THE VERGE: A revival of Susan Glaspell's rarely seen play from 1921, about a female botanist who is seeking complete control over her life and world. A brave, exhilarating production.
