Solo Fest!. New works written and performed by Kathryn Grody, Betsy Parrish, Susan Laubach, Jacqueline Santiago, Elizabeth Rose, Mimi Cohen, Mary Lou Shriber, Renita Martin, Alice Barden, and Nichole Thompson-Adams. There are different lineups every Monday evening.

Oct 8 - Nov 14
Octoberfest. A marathon of new, old, and developing plays crammed together on two floors of Ensemble Studio Theatre. Octoberfest 2009 brings together 86 plays over 38 days, selected by its members and presented in varying states of readiness.

ANT Fest. A showcase of all-new, emerging talent ranging from singer/songwriters, comedians, improv artists, magicians, solo shows, vaudeville acts, bands, and plays. There's a different performance every night.

Oct 23 - Nov 25
The CAVE New York Butoh Festival -- Butoh-kan Phase. A festival that celebrates and promotes the origins and international evolution of Butoh Dance while strengthening the local community with performances, workshops, and conversations with the artists. Events will be presented at Dixon Place in SoHo, Dance New Amsterdam in TriBeCa, and CAVE in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

New York Musical Improv Festival. A festival of improvised musicals; the confirmed participants include Baby Wants Candy, Bash, Broadway's Next Hit Musical, Centralia, Don't Quit Your Night Job, I Eat Pandas, The Made-Up Musical, and Once Upon a Time.

Nov 16 - Nov 30
First Look Festival. Classic Stage presents staged readings of plays by Luigi Pirandello: Six Characters in Search of An Author, Right You Are if You Think So, and John Turturro starring in Henry IV. Tickets are $30 per reading. Performances are on successive Monday nights (extra performance on Nov 29 of Henry IV).
