The Snow Queen, based on the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, is a timeless story about the power of friendship and the beauty of a childlike heart. When a mischievous troll smashes a magic mirror, its fragments scatter over a small European village, forever altering the lives of young Gerda and Kay. Pierced through the heart with a shard of glass, Kay becomes cold and unfeeling and is whisked away by the magical Snow Queen to live in her frozen palace. His best friend Gerda, convinced that she can bring him home, embarks on an incredible quest. She battles witches and robbers, befriends princesses and reindeer, and discovers that the love of a child will truly conquer all. This is a new musical adaptation of this story.
