Photo of Perfect Crime

Warren Manzi’s long-running thriller continues to defy the odds. Since opening in 1987, it has gone through numerous cast changes, and switched performance venues several times. Despite those obstacles, it has carried on to become the longest running play in New York theatre history. The plot, about a beautiful and powerful woman, a doctor, and a detective caught in a cat-and-mouse murder mystery, can sometimes be complicated and convoluted. But, Perfect Crime’s plot twists and arresting characters (not to mention its gargantuan staying power) are proof that everybody loves mysteries.
