After almost five years, Mamma Mia!’s staying power is hard to ignore. Weaving 22 ABBA songs—including “Dancing Queen,” “The Name of the Game,” “Take a Chance on Me,” and of course the title tune—into the modern-day tale of a mother and her soon-to-be-married daughter, set on a small mythical Greek island, Mamma Mia! has proved to be a bona fide crowd pleaser. As of this writing, it’s closing in on 2,000 performances.
