in the 25-minute curtain raiser Lord Buckley, Richmond Shepard, who worked with Buckley at The Club Renaissance in Los Angeles in the 1950s and knew him during his final two years, portrays the Legendary Hip Comedian, Jazz Storyteller, Semanticist, and Sometime Philosopher. Lord Buckley includes material Buckley made famous in his night club acts and on his many appearences on the Ed Sullivan Show. In the 60-minute second act, Leslie E. Hughes portrays Marilyn Monroe in Willard Manus's play Marilyn's 2nd Chance, wich explores the question, "What if Marilyn had survived, lived for years in obscurity, and has decided to audition to play the lead in Tennessee Williams's Orpheus Descending on Broadway?"
