Damaged Care has been performed off-off Broadway and at many other venues across the country for the past 14 years. The show highlights issues of great concern to patients and health professionals, including erosion of the doctor-patient relationship, depersonalization of services, the inadequate emphasis on prevention, and the success of "superbugs." The show's songs address key issues in health care. For example, "Doctors in Cyberspace" addresses the weakening of the doctor-patient relationship. "Health Care Business" addresses the transformation of medical care delivery from a service to a business. "Go Away, You're Sick" addresses inadequate access to health care.
