Chris Harcum

CHRIS HARCUM is an actor and playwright living in Brooklyn. Chris is a proud member of Virgodog Theater, Transport Group, NJ Rep, Actors' Equity, SAG, AFTRA, and Dramatists Guild. He also serves on the board of the League of Independent Theater as well the League's Education Task Force. His latest solo show, American Badass (Or 12 Characters in Search of a National Identity) was published in the anthology Plays and Playwrights 2009. Other writing includes The New York Times, Revolving Floor and his blog, Virgodog's World. He attended drama programs at UNC-Greensboro, University of Virginia, and the North Carolina School of the Arts. He co-adapted a modern version of Imaginary Invalid, which premiered at the Cell Theatre and will work again with Matthew Gregory on a new adaptation of Scapin in which he will also play the title role.
