Heather J. Violanti

HEATHER J. VIOLANTI is a dramaturg and playwright. She currently works as Dramaturgical and Development Associate for the Mint Theater. Her first play, Aphra, Where Have You Been? won the Connecticut State division of the Clauder Competition for New England playwrights. While living in England, she wrote and performed a monologue for Stratford Talking, part of the first annual Royal Shakespeare Company New Works Festival. Dramaturgy credits include Susan and God (Mint Theater), Valiant (Unofficial Yale Cabaret), and The Massacre at Paris (Blood N Thunder Theatre Company). Currently, Heather is a member of the Groundbreakers Playwriting Workshop at terraNOVA Collective. She is an associate member of the Dramatists' Guild and has an M.F.A. in Dramaturgy and Dramatic Criticism from Yale School of Drama.
