Melting in Madras

Produced by Overcoat Theater

Melting in Madras is a funny and oddly tense story of my four month trip to India more than a decade ago.  While searching for wisdom and clarity, I made steadily more peculiar choices, suffered a serious illness, which was really difficult and dark on the one hand, and strangely beautiful on the other.

People who are interested in travel, in India, in Eastern philosophy, or in a well crafted tale would be particularly interested in my show.  I've had people tell me that after my performance, they felt like they'd been in India with me, which I take as a very high compliment.

Ever since I came back from India, I've wanted to share these stories — the intensity and the beauty of some of my encounters is something I want people to be able to experience through my storytelling.
