Dingbat

Produced by Dingbat

Author: Nancy Friedrich with Artistic Collaboractionby James Whittington

Dingbat is not an ordinary one-woman show. It's completely fictional. Dingbat is an original story about love, loss and the comfort of friends — both real and imagined. Dingbat centers around Claudia, a reference Librarian who moves with her punk-rock cover band musician husband, Richie, from NYC to a small town in South Dakota. Shortly after they relocate, Richie succumbs to a miserable fate. To help her deal with this sudden loss, a very special friend from Claudia's past returns and brings with him a colorful array of strangers, neighbors, enemies and TV legends.

Audiences enjoy Dingbat because of the unique storytelling, hysterical characters, rapid dialogue, and sweet bizarreness of the premise. From scenes entitled "funeral incident", to "two young boys who witness gruesome wilderness", to a celebration of Claudia's favorite TV female friendships; Dingbat packs a lot into a half-hour and delivers a unique and heart-melting experience! Did we mention there's a talking rope?

We created it. We like it. We think you will, too.
