incorporates a live jazz band, acting, and a film presentation in a very intimate setting.
In your own words, what do you think this show is about? What will audiences take away with them after seeing it?
On the surface, "The Anderson Twins Play The Fabulous Dorseys" presents the beautiful music of Tommy & Jimmy Dorsey up close. To me, this show is really about hope, sibling rivalry, forgiveness, and the importance of family. These themes will be presented though the often-unappreciated power of American jazz music.
People who like which of the following recent Broadway shows would also probably like your show: THE BOOK OF MORMON, ONCE, DEATH OF A SALESMAN, CLYBOURNE PARK?
Death of a Salesman. Healthy balance of history, drama, and comedy. Also set in the 1940s.
Can theater bring about societal change? Why or why not?
Certainly. Theater transports the audience into space, allowing them to observe society on earth with an open mind and unbiased eye.
