What is your job on this show?
Solo performer and playwright.
Are there boundaries as to what kind of theatre you will take part in?
At my age, naked would not be so good.
Why do you do theater (as opposed to film, or TV, or something not in the entertainment field)?
Theater lets a group of us be connected live in the moment, experiencing the same story with senses, mind, and heart. Each new audience co-creates a "new" show. That energy and connection is a fabulous rush.
In your own words, what do you think this show is about? What will audiences take away with them after seeing it?
This show is about how much someone can change, and still be the one you love; what is love, really; and what makes a marriage. If you've been togther a long time, you'll be talking about this play with your partner for a while.
Which cartoon character would you identify your show with: Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Mickey Mouse, Marge Simpson?
Marge, if Homer decided to become Harriet.
How important is diversity to you in the theater you see/make?
VERY. Theater lets us experience characters vastly different from ourselves as human beings rather than categories or freaks. Sometimes, for a moment, theater can shift "them" into "us".
