Blown Away by Poetry

nytheatre.com q&a preview by Sammy Seuss
July 23, 2012

What is your job on this show?
Sammy Seuss the Puppet.

Who are your heroes?
Dr. Seuss (for his rhymes), Einstein (for his hair and smarts), and Tina Turner (for her singing and dancing).

Complete this sentence: My show is the only one in FringeNYC that...?
Stars me! A blue haired polka dotted rhyming puppet named Seuss. You should come see the show, it will set your poetry loose.

Why did you want to write/direct/produce/act in/work on this show?
Because I am a fiend for rhyming and love sharing it with others.

Which “S” word best describes your show: SMOOTH, SEXY, SMART, SURPRISING?
All of them. A smooth, sexy, smart and surprising show is a great example of alliteration!

If you had ten million dollars that you had to spend on theatrical endeavors, how would you use the money?
A better design department, I don't even have legs. Some shoes would be nice too!
