What is your job on this show?
Playwright, Composer.

What is your show about?
Two artist-lovers struggle to preserve their integrity, their sanity and their relationship against the pressures of money and trends in the art world and society that reward virtual/digital experience over physical reality.

What type of theater do you like most to work on?
Theater that emphasizes physicality, and absorbs the audience as much as possible into the experience of the play -- with as many of their 5 senses as possible. i.e., Everything that makes theater unique from film, video & the online world.

Complete this sentence: My show is the only one opening in NYC this spring that...?
... as far as I know, features an all-female cast, a lesbian love story, a live rock band, and an energetic discussion on the meaning of art & being an artist.

Is there a particular moment in this show that you really love or look forward to? Without giving away surprises, what happens in that moment and why does it jazz you?
Not one but several moments where the rock music, the singing, the swirling chorus, and the multi-colored light & video projections all combine organically to produce an intense, and beautiful, sensory experience for the audience.

Which “S” word best describes your show: SMOOTH, SEXY, SMART, SURPRISING?
Difficult choice between SEXY, SMART, & SURPRISING. I'll go with SURPRISING.

If you had ten million dollars that you had to spend on theatrical endeavors, how would you use the money?
I'd set up a foundation to (1) give grants to small, 99-seats-or-less theaters that do daring, experimental work so they can pay their actors, crew, designers & admin staff adequately; and (2) explore a way to bridge the yawning gap between those theaters and the Off-Broadway & Broadway houses, in terms of financing production costs. The small houses can be the incubator & pipeline for channeling new, exciting work to the large ones, but the system is stupidly stacked to prevent that.
