What is your job on this show?
trumpet player, smartass.
Where were you born? Where were you raised? Where did you go to school?
I was born in Dearborn, Michigan, raised in Allen Park, MI, and went to Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.
Complete this sentence: My show is the only one opening in NYC this fall that...?
will have a swinging six piece all-star jazz band as the focal point.
Why did you want to write/direct/produce/act in/work on this show?
Because the music we will be presenting is close to my heart: swing era big band classics brilliantly re-imagined and arranged for sextet by the immensely talented Anderson Twins, performed by some of my favorite musicians to play with and to listen to. This music is big fun to play, and to listen to. And the fact that clips from the classic movie will be interspersed just adds to the fun and entertainment value. One does not need to be a knowledgeable jazz fan to enjoy and appreciate this; everyone's feet will be tapping. Guaranteed.
Which famous New Jerseyite would like your show the best: Snooki, Bruce Springsteen, Thomas Edison?
Bruce Springsteen. Because this music is BOSS, and because it was Born In The USA.
Who are your heroes?
Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke, Ruby Braff, Kenny Davern, Clifford Brown, Mozart, Stevie Wonder, Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor, Bruce Lee, and Underdog. And the Anderson Twins, for getting me this gig, heheh!
