nytheatre.com q&a preview by Jennifer Winegardner
October 10, 2012

What is your job on this show?
Writer/Producer.

Where were you born? Where were you raised? Where did you go to school?
I was born, raised & educated in Pennsylvania...not to be confused with Transylvania. I went to Kutztown University of Pennsylvania where I majored in Theatre & Music.

Complete this sentence: My show is the only one opening in NYC this fall that...?
...has funny woman Elyse Beyer dressed up as both a giant pumpkin AND a giant piece of candy corn.

How did you meet your fellow artists/collaborators on this show?
I met them in various ways. I've acted with costume designer Michael "Fletcher" Tester and cast members, Anderson Lim, Nikki Van Cassele & William Winegardner (who is also my husband). Lori Hammel and I have done industrials together. I met Elyse Beyer & Andy Lindberg when they auditioned for the show and made us laugh our heads off. The person I've known the longest is director, Thomas Sabella-Mills...we used to work together at Michael Carson Productions and he's directed me in several shows. Oh, the shenanigans!

Which “S” word best describes your show: SMOOTH, SEXY, SMART, SURPRISING?
SPOOKY, SILLY, SASSY

Who are your heroes?
Joan Rivers, Carol Burnett, Nora Ephron, Kathy Griffin...any funny woman who is full throttle and not afraid!
