What is your job on this show?
Producer and Actor.

What is your show about?
New Orleans, 2006, after Hurricane Katrina, "Reach" is a quirky, and funny story of hope and rebuilding after great tragedy and loss.

When did you know you wanted to work in the theater, and why?
When I was 12 years old I was in a professional production of "A Christmas Carol" with Boston Children's Theatre. The magic of transporting myself into a totally different character and transporting the audience into a whole new world transcended anything I had ever experienced before or since. It is my truest love and I can't imagine anything else more spectacular!

Complete this sentence: My show is the only one opening in NYC this summer that...?
....guarantees to make you laugh and to make you cry (and even titillate...)

Why did you want to write/direct/produce/act in/work on this show?
More so than any show I've ever read, this show made me laugh out loud AND give me goosebumps while reading it. When I perform in this show I am deeply moved. Every rehearsal, and on numerous occasions. There are very few plays I can say that about. You fall in love with these characters and become quickly invested in what happens to them.

Which character from a Shakespeare play would like your show the best: King Lear, Puck, Rosalind, or Lady Macbeth -- and why?
All of them for different reasons. Lear for the complex relationship between father and daughter, Puck for the deviance, Rosalind for the strength in Lindsay (the lead)'s character, and Lady Macbeth for....well that one you will have to just watch the play and see:)

Why are theater festivals so very important?
Theater festivals are a chance to get out important, new works that may not otherwise be produced. For the audience it's a chance to see shows with a diverse breadth of genres and characters and types. It's an opportunity to go outside your usual choices and see new pieces for a reasonable price.
