What is your job on this show?
Lighting Designer.
What type of theater do you like most to work on?
I like to work on new shows that are premiering for the first time. The amount of collaboration with the creative team sometimes help shape the way of the show. What's best is when something sticks and becomes a permanent part of the show.
Why do you do theater (as opposed to film, or TV, or something not in the entertainment field)?
I do theatre because it gives my mind a creative workout. TV is great if you need to make a living, but when your lighting theatre, there is nothing standard about it. You're always inventing something great.
Why did you want to write/direct/produce/act in/work on this show?
I wanted to work on this show because I saw the challenges of the piece and really wanted to help enhance the story through light!
Which “S” word best describes your show: SMOOTH, SEXY, SMART, SURPRISING?
Sensational
If you had ten million dollars that you had to spend on theatrical endeavors, how would you use the money?
I would invest in restoring some of the great theaters that have been forgotten. They are a critical piece of history and restoring them can jump start art communities and attract new audiences.
