What is your job on this show?
Production Designer.
When did you know you wanted to work in the theater, and why?
I have always worked in the theater. I started acting at five years old. I began directed plays at a very young age, designing and building the sets, costumes, and lighting. I became a professional lighting designer a number of years ago. So I've known I wanted to work in the theater for as long as I can remember.
Have you been part of FringeNYC in the past? If so, how did you particpate? (Be specific! Name shows, etc.)
I have designed the lighting for a number of FringeNYC shows over the years. They have included: I’m Bangin’ in the Kitchen, or “Hi Honey, I’m Home!” (2001); Bang!(2002);Black Martian (2004); Alchemist of Light (2009); Damon and Debra (2009); 38 Witnessed Her Death, I Witnessed Her Love (2009); The Conveniences Of Modern Living (2010); Mush (2011)
Why did you want to write/direct/produce/act in/work on this show?
I designed the original workshop production of Shelly... two years ago. I love to stay involved with productions as they evolve and change through multiple showings. Also, I love my collaborators. They are family.
If you had ten million dollars that you had to spend on theatrical endeavors, how would you use the money?
To subsidize artists who are creating artistically interesting and challenging work. Nobody goes into theater for the money, but we all need it.
