What is your job on this show?
Director.
What was the last show you saw that really excited you, and why?
A production of Three Sisters by a Russian company in Russian (which I do not speak) at BAM. I know the play so well and the work was so good that language was not a barrier. It was the most amazing ensemble work I have ever seen.
Why did you want to be part of FringeNYC?
Because the play I am working on and the actors and SM I am working with guaranteed I would learn a great deal and I was confident we could pass on a bit of a spark to the audience who came to see us.
In your own words, what do you think this show is about? What will audiences take away with them after seeing it?
A Short Trip is about how even in the simplest of lives, you have to work at it if you want to begin to grapple just a bit with what the hell its all about. It's the difference between dating and love. Dating, easy as it is, leaves you hungry.
People who like which of the following recent Broadway shows would also probably like your show: THE BOOK OF MORMON, ONCE, DEATH OF A SALESMAN, CLYBOURNE PARK?
Salesman
