Can theater bring about societal change? Why or why not?
Without question. See how movies and TV shows start trends, catch phrases, etc. The theater is a place to affect the audience in a way that can't be explained and will be talked about afterward. The magic of a production is seeing life with the most interesting moments. It can change someone's perception of a religion, race, or habit. Theater is a place where art can express it's feelings and opinions about everything from government, gay marriage, sex, or the beyond with all the freedom they can dish out!
