What is your job on this show?
Writer, director, actor.
What is your show about?
The janitor of the theater comes in to give the stage a last sweep before the show. Hilarity ensues.
When did you know you wanted to work in the theater, and why?
While an honors Chemistry major at Tulane, I was caught in a thunderstorm and went into the closest building. It turned out to be the theater and I got a part in a play. It's a slippery slope.
What are some of your previous theater credits? (Be specific! Name shows, etc.)
Avner the Eccentric, Ghetto, and The Comedy of Errors, on Broadway. Waiting for Godot twice (so far), Pittsburgh Public, and Portland Stage.
Are there any cautions or warnings you’d like to make about the show (e.g., not appropriate for little kids)?
This is one of the few shows you can take your parents and your kids to. Children under the age of 8 are not always appropriate.
Which famous person would you most like to get a fan letter from: Meryl Streep, Lindsay Lohan, Steven Spielberg, Philip Seymour Hoffman?
Oleg Popov.
If you had ten million dollars that you had to spend on theatrical endeavors, how would you use the money?
I'd keep doing my show until it was all gone.
